Katherine's relationship with design began at home, growing up in a house designed and built by her parents. From an early age, she saw the distance between an idea on paper and the reality of building it—and became fascinated by everything in between. An artist at heart, Katherine brings a strong instinct for proportion, material, colour, and form to her work. But her understanding of design is not limited to the studio. In her mid-twenties, she stepped into construction as a framer, building through the demanding conditions of a cold climate and learning firsthand what it takes to turn drawings into something real. That experience stayed with her. Today, Katherine brings together creative intuition, technical knowledge, and practical construction experience in a way that is uncommon in the industry. With six years of university education and a diploma in Architectural Technology, she understands both the vision and the mechanics behind a project.
She believes good design should feel considered, but never precious. Beautiful, but built for real life. Every detail has a purpose, and every idea has to hold up beyond the page.
From the first sketch to the final build, Katherine brings clarity, curiosity, and a hands-on approach—turning thoughtful ideas into spaces that are as considered in execution as they are in concept.
